I Had Always Imagined Myself As An Actor: Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar is climbing the ladder of success at a very fast pace. From being a fat girl in Dum Laga Ke Haisha to a go-getter in Toilet Ek Prem Katha, she has done it all with finesse. In an interview with leading media channel, she was asked about how life has changed for her and why people are saying her success has gone to her head!

When the actress was asked about her life changes, she told that she had been working as a casting director and somewhere in her head she knew that she is going to be the actress. She was never intimidated or star-struck by the actors and always had an uncanny inner voice saying ‘we are going to be peers soon’. Her family had such a faith in her that even they were in some way prepared for all this fame for her. Ask her about her friends and she laughs and says that initially, they used to enjoy the attention which she got while hanging out with them but now it has really become agitating for them.

When she was enquired about the tabloids in which she was written off as ‘badly behaved star’, she told that she was surprised because one thing that the actress takes a lot of pride in is her behaviour as she personally knows that she has not changed at all. Justifying herself at the aforementioned statement, she went on to say that if now she wants her hairdo in a certain is because now she knows these about make-up and style which initially she did not, and it is a business in which she is grooming herself and moving on. Why her confidence is labelled as attitude even when ‘this girl’ makes sure she is not condescending towards anyone is the thing that irritates her!

With all the hits line by line, we wish this immensely talented actress all the best for her upcoming movies!
