After getting involved in long debates of nepotism in Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut has finally come up with something to distract us from that. The trailer for her upcoming flick Simran’ has released yesterday and has already collected substantial appreciation. Talking about the subject of this flick, the trailer has hinted a lot. In one scene in the trailer, we see ‘‘Simran’s’’ father unhappy with the idea of her buying a house for herself. He even goes to an extent to say that she wants an independent house to invite her boyfriends, to which the girl firmly replies “ha bulaungi mai apne boyfriends ko” which suggests an amusement and empowerment at the same time.
Also, the dialogues like ‘ek to larki, upar se divorced‘ also suggests the extent to which archaic values are still engrained in the heads of Indian people! Moreover, in the beginning, we get the glimpse of the story’s light hearted scenes as we enjoy the visual showing ‘Simran’ getting home for herself with a profitable deal. There is also a scene in the trailer where the actress reveals to a guy that she loves gambling and stealing things. The backdrop of the flick clearly seems to be set in the scenario, where female struggles to get out of so called ‘taboo’ matters and lead a life on her own terms and conditions.
This Hansal Mehta directorial seems promising and on top of that, Kangana’s real and touching acting has already raised expectations. The actress (Kangana Ranaut) has never faltered as far as her acting prowess is concerned, let us see what Hansal Mehta’s vision and her acting prowess now brings to the table!
