How to deal with the Boards Pressure?

Boards! Boards! Boards! A high time for students of both the classes, 10th and 12th,to show what they’ve really got. Sounds easy, right? Trust me, it isn’t. People might ask why it is so hard when all they have to do is manage time, study hard, surrender their mobile phones and keep on studying.

Board exams of both the classes generally begin in early march. And the months preceding to March is the time when students are at their most vulnerable stage. They are scared, stressed, tired and spent. They are tired of studying for 4-5 hours at a stretch despite the fact that it is not possible for anybody to study with a good efficiency after 3 hours of studying and this has been psychologically proved.

And yet, they are forced to study, study and study. The simple question is that how possibly can they study when they are failing to understand what they are reading?

Being a former victim of these so called “Board Exams” even though they are nothing if you know what exactly you need to do to deal with them.

The following are the points that you ought to keep in your mind if you seek solace and are done spending fathomless time on studying and yet failing to remember what you studied:

1.You’ll need to forget the orthodox way of studying i.e. ‘study for at least 4-5 hours daily in order to attain good marks’, it isn’t so. What you need to do is make a plan, for example, you decided that you have to complete 3 chapters of a particular subject so that you can take care of other subjects too.

Now, this is the thing you need to keep in mind- complete those 3 chapters in any possible way, no matter how time consuming they are. Be the time consumed 1 hour or 4 hours, you just need to complete those chapters.

2.Study only when you feel like studying, this doesn’t mean don’t study at all, because I know that none of you wants to study. As for example, let’s say you began studying when you were sleepy or not in a good mood. Even after 3 hours of studying, you couldn’t even complete one chapter. Don’t let that happen because this is a critical time guys.

3.Understand the importance of time. At this stage, time is very precious. Don’t take it for granted. Don’t waste your time in unnecessary long breaks. Keep your breaks of a small-time period.

4.Listen to EDMs when you feel sleepy. Don’t listen to slow songs or you’ll end up wasting your precious time by sleeping in peace and harmony.

5.Don’t trust anybody except your parents. Don’t trust in what your friends and relatives tell you. They will just fill your brain with trash and more tension.

6.Stay away from the dissensions of relationships at this vulnerable time, guys. You don’t want to waste your time by pondering over relationship problems.

7. Last but not the least, focus. One single thing that everybody keeps on saying but trust me, it is necessary to focus and improve concentration and stay confident.
